제목 Efficient Phosphorous Ligands Designed for GAMA ATRP of Styrene and BMA using High Oxidation State of Iron (III) Metal
초록 ATRP mediated by high oxidation state metal without any additive were employed successfully to polymerize BMA (Butyl Methacrylate) and styrene by Fe (III) metal with new phoporous ligands DTBPDB (2-Di-tert-butylphosphino-2′-(N,N-dimethylamino) biphenyl) and DCHPDB (2-Dicyclohexylphosphino-2′-(N,N-dimethylamino) biphenyl) using EBriB and PEBr as an initiators at 800C and 1100C in toluene and bulk respectively. The molecular weight increased linearly with monomer consumption. In the case of styrene, when DTBPDB was used as ligand, molecular weights were matched the theoretical values very well, and the molecular weight distributions were narrower (~1.1) compared with DCHPDB (~1.2). While in case of BMA, experimental molecular weights were slightly far from the theoretical giving broad molecular weight distributions (~1.4). DTBPDP was found better and faster ligand compared with DCHPDB for BMA and styrene polymerizations in terms of catalytic activity and controllability of the catalyst
