Because the suitable properties of TiO2 for photocatalysts such as cost effectiveness, stability and Non-toxic, TiO2 is attracting. However, TiO2 has wide band gap and fast hole-electron recombination which hinder photocatalytic performance. To enhance the photocatalytic performance of TiO2, alkali ion doping process is has been known. Alkali ion doping can enhance the photocatalytic performance some extent. Nevertheless, doping process and doping amount control of alkali ions is complex. In this presentation, we suggest the facile Li doping method using electrochemcially intecation method. Doping of lithium induces the formation of Li0.5TiO2 phase, resulting in enhaced photocatalytic performance. Consequently, Li-doped TiO2 shows the enhanced hydrogen evolution rate. |
