제목 Photosensitizer-conjugated gold nanorod based on disulfide cleavage trigger for photodynamic and photothermal therapy
초록 During the last decade, photodynamic therapy (PDT) has becoming widely known as a powerful non-invasive modality of light-activated cancer treatment that direct cancer killing with accumulated photosensitizer (PS) in tumor tissues. In this study, we developed AuNR-PS conjugates with glutathione sensitive linkages for selective tumor targeting. In addition, AuNR-PS conjugates can produce photothermal therapy (PTT) effects through AuNR, which emits heat during NIR irradiation. AuNRs with various aspect ratios were synthesized and modified with FA-PEG block copolymer. Their physicochemical properties, singlet oxygen generation, drug release and photothermal activities were investigated. Also, in vitro phototoxicity and cellular uptake were evaluated against MCF7 and A549 cell lines.
