Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNPs) have been actively used in as drug carriers, catalysts, electronic devices, optical, and bioimaging probes. MSNPs have been demonstrating diverse functions including wide surface area, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and drug-incorporating efficiency. Quercetin (Qu) is a type of senolytics that selectively kills senescent cells. Recently, Qu is employed in anti-aging due to its non-toxicity and biocompatibility. We focus on synthesizing Qu-functionalized MSNPs against aging process via targeted treatment. Morphological and functional group analysis of MSNPs and MSNP@Qu were investigated by employing different techniques. |
