Various special optoelectronic materials have been developed and successfully applied in the fields including solar cells, medical sensors, and organic light emitting diodes. At present, several major industrial companies are focusing on to produce high efficiency organic light emitting diodes. Highly sophisticated organic synthesis skills have presented many high performance organic/inorganic materials. However, OLED pixels lose their efficiency with time due to the injected hole and electrons at high driving voltage, which is the biggest obstacle in the device stability. Thus, it is inevitable to develop a material whose electron injection barrier is low, that is to say high lying highly occupied molecular orbital (HOMO). However, that kind of organic material is rare due to its increased oxidation level. This study is to design a new n-type dopant having high HOMO energy level and stable at ambient condition. |
