Synthesis and characterization of poly(ester imide)s derived from bis(4-aminophenyl) terephthalate and aromatic anhydrides |
초록 |
The authors describe the synthesis and characterization of the poly(ester imide) (PEsIs) series containing a bis(4-aminophenyl) terephthalate (BAT) moiety via ring-opening polyaddition to poly(amic acid)s, followed by thermal or chemical imidization. The ester-linked BAT monomer was highly reactive with several tetracarboxylic dianhydrides including pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA), 4,4’-biphthalic anhydride (BPDA), 4,4’-oxydiphthalic anhydride (ODPA), and 4,4’-(hexafluoroisopropylidene) diphthalic anhydride (6FDA). The thermally imidized BAT-based PEsI films provided a flexible and tough film with a considerably low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE = -3.7 ppm/°C), high thermal stability (Td5% in N2 = 586.4 °C), and high Tg of > 400 °C. The chemically imidized PEsI from 6FDA was readily soluble even in less hygroscopic solvents such as cyclopentanone (CPN). Simple casting from the CPN solution provided a highly transparent (Tr550nm = 91.7%) and almost colorless. |
