제목 Synthesis and Properties of Polyurethane/Clay Nanocomposites
초록 Polyurethane/clay nanocomposites and the reactive surfactants for the treatment of clay were synthesized. The effects of the chemical structure of reactive surfactant on the d-spacing of organoclay and the dispersibility of organoclay in polyurethane matrix on the properties of the nanocomposites were investigated. The d-spacing of organoclay was more increased by the treatment with reactive surfactant having both urethane group and hydrophilic chains. From the results of TEM micrographs and XRD patterns, polyurethane/clay nanocomposites formed the intercalated structure. The thermal stability of the nanocomposites was improved with increasing the clay content. The mechanical properties were also enhanced with the introduction of clay. The nanocomposites having well dispersibility of organoclay showed better mechanical properties than those having poor dispersibility of organoclay.
