Cellular interaction, especially between neuronal cells are strongly influenced for a spontaneous network that is known for neural circuit. This network has been studied for various bioactivities of cell. In our lab, studying cellular interactions on polymeric thin films have been conducted with various cell types including neuronal cell line, PC 12. Using primary neuronal cells may have an opportunity to observe actual cellular mechanism. We present our study of neuronal cell bahaviors including primary cells on the micro patterned polymer coating which comprised of the combinations of cell-adhesive and cell-resistant surfaces. This polymer film was fabricated with polyelectrolytes, and they were assembled by hydrogen bonding as well as electrostatic interactions. The neuronal cells are known to response particulary in electro stimulation. So, conducting polymer and metallic nanoparticles were also used in the film formation for the case of cell study on electro active films. |
