제목 | Pitch-based graphite foam using a polymer solution as a template |
초록 | A simple method is investigated for preparing high compressive strength graphite foam by adding isotropic pitch into polyvinylalcohol (PVA) solution. Various amount of isotropic pitch is added into the PVA solution to investigate the pore size, and apparent density. The porosity of the prepared carbon and graphite foam is provided by removing PVA through heat treatment, and the pore size is reduced by increasing slurry concentrations. The prepared graphite foams have the range of apparent density from 0.12 to 0.61 g/cm3.
