Hyperbranched conjugated polymers are advantageous over there linear counterparts in high solubility, good processability, and minimization of unfavorable intermolecular interactions and crystallization. In addition, as hyperbranched conjugated polymers have many peripheral chromophores, they will prefer forming a globular structure with generations. The hyperbranched conjugated polymers, which were obtained via Suzuki cross-coupling reaction, have been studied by many researchers. We have attempted to synthesize polymers by reaction with 1,4-dibromo-2,5-bis(4-sulfonatobutoxy)benzene sodium salt and benzene-1,4-diboronic acid and tris(4-bromophenyl)amine. These polymers are studied using gel permeation chromatography, 1H NMR, elemental analysis, UV-vis absorption, and photoluminescence. |
