In this work, we investigated the effects of mechanical milling conditions on the hydrogen storage of graphite flaks. Structural properties of the graphite were evaluated by a XRD measurement, and textural properties were investigate by N2/77K adsorption isotherms. Hydrogen storage behaviors of the graphites were studied by a volumetric method at room temperature and 100 atm. It was found that the hydrogen storage capacity and specific surface area of milled graphite flaks were increased with milling time. In XRD result, the typical C (002) peaks of the graphites were decreased with milling time, indicating that graphite layers were expanded and disordered. |
