In this study, multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNTs) - Ni/Mg hybrid materials were prepared by impregnation of Ni and Mg at various Ni/Mg ratios. The specific elements of the MWNTs were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed the change of the MWNTs in the crystalline phase and lattice distortions. The morphology of prepared material were observed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Textural properties and porosity were determined from N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms at 77 K using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. And hydrogen storage capacity was evaluated with a Model BEL-HP instrument (BEL Co., Ltd., Japan) at 298 K and 100 bar. |
