제목 Colorimetric Detector for Ammonia Gas Based on Composites of Polydiacetylene (PDA) and Nano Porous Silica Extracted Rice Husk.
초록  Detecting the gas has been required with the increasing of the human awareness for environmental problems in industrial gases. Polydiacetylene (PDA) having self-assembly property exhibits blue color but external stimuli such as temperature, pH and ligand–receptor interactions strain the conjugated backbone in PDA, thus resulting in a colorimetric change from blue to red. Consequently, studies of PDA are expanding particularly for gas sensing application. For effective absorption of gas, the nano porous silica was synthesized through silica powder extracted from rice husk. It is economic and environmental friendly and characteristics similar to those of conventional one obtained chemical precursor.  
 Here, we developed composites of Polydiacetylene and rice husk silica (PDA-SiO2) nanosensor enabling detection of Ammonia gas with the naked eye. The composite was analyzed UV-spectroscopy, Scanning Electron microscopy (SEM) and images for screening depending on gas concentration.
