In this work, high pressure H2 storage behaviors of Pt-loaded porous carbon nanofibers (PCNFs) were investigated. We observed the H2 storage behaviors at 298K/100 bar of the Pt/PCNFs in the range of 0.5~2 wt% of platinum content. The microstructures of Pt/PCNFs were characterized by XRD and TEM. The crystallinity and morphology were investigated by SEM. N2/77K adsorption isotherms were investigated in order to characterize textural properties. From the results, as-synthesized PCNFs showed very low H2 amount stored (under 0.3 wt.%), but the H2 amount stored in Pt/PCNFs was predominantly enhanced and showed over 1.5 wt.%. This result indicated that platinum particles on the carbon surface could give enough driving forces for H2 molecules to penetrate into the carbon structures. |
