There is substantial and growing interest in using conjugated polymers as the responsive basis for chemical and biological detection schemes. The synthesis of branched polymers, in particular hyperbranched systems, has received considerable attention over the past decade because of their unique properties, which include 1) a large number of end groups, 2) low values of intrinsic viscosity, and 3) generally, good solubility characteristics. Recently, synthesis and application of hyperbranched polymer Wittig reaction has studied for many researchers. We have attempted to synthesize hyperbranched conjugated polymers from the reaction with 1,3,5-tris(triphenylphosphonio-methyl)benzene tribromide and p-xylene-bis(triphenylphosphonium-bromide) and 2,5- didecyl-oxy-p-terphenyl-4,4’-dialdehyde. The novel hyperbranched conjugated polymers are expected to have improved properties, such as high fluorescence quantum yield and easiness to synthesis. |
