Porous carbons have gained particular interest because of their distinct porous structure, which possesses large pore volume, high specific surface area, and tunable pore-size distribution. Carbon aerogel is one of the porous carbons which possess high porosity and high specific surface area. To improve CO2 capture performances of carbon aerogels(CAs), we have prepared N-doped CAs with different ratios of resorcinol/melamine through sol-gel method. The morphological properties were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The textural properties were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption-desorption isotherms using Bruanauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. The lattice and crystalline structure were measured using X-ray diffraction (XRD). CO2 capture performances were evaluated at 298 K and 1 bar. From the results, it was confirmed that the CO2 adsorption capacity increased with increasing the amount of melamine. |
