적용 To produce propylene homopolymers (PP, polypropylene) and copolymers (random and impact) using the Spheripol process.
설명 Description: In the Spheripol process, homo- and random copolymerization takes place in liquid propylene within a loop tubular reactor (1). Impact copolymerization is performed in a gas phase fluidized bed reactor system (3). Removal of the catalyst residue and amorphous polymer is not required ; and the pelletization section also is not necessary. Unreacted propylene from the loop reactor is flashed in a two-stage pressure system (2,4) and recycled back to reaction without treatment. This minimizes energy consumption.
   The process can use lower-assay propylene, like chemical grade (95%), instead of the usual polymerization grade (99.5%).

Yields: Polymer yields of 30,000 or more kg/kg of supported catalyst are obtained. The polymer has an isotactic index of 90 to 99% and a controlled particle-size distribution.
