제목 pH sensitive liposomes incorporating hydrophobically modified chitosan
초록 Egg phosphatidylcholine(EPC) liposomes incorporating hydrophobically modified chitosan(HmCh) were prepared by a sonication method. Hydrophobically modified chitosan was characterized using NMR and FT-IR.
In order to immobilize chitosan on the surface of EPC liposomes, pentyl chains were covalently attached to chitosan. The ratio of HmCh to EPCwere kept 1:5 and 1:20, the degrees of fluorescence quenching in the liposomal suspension were greater than 70 %, indicating a high yield of liposome formation. The liposomes prepared using the maximum ratio of 1:5 was stable when the pH of release medium was higher than pH 6.5. The liposomes started to release below pH 6.5, and the release became extensive as the pH of release medium decreased.
