제목 Simple and Efficient Process for Conversion of Renewable Biomass into Furanic Platforms
초록 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), a six-carbon furan ring obtained from the triple dehydration of hexose sugars has emerged as one of the future platform chemicals from renewable resources. However, ineffective conversion with multitude of simultaneous side reactions, difficult isolation and relative instability are major barriers toward commercial production of HMF that need to be solved in order to make biomass competitive with fossil fuels. Several efforts have been devoted to synthesis of more stable HMF derivatives. Herein we report a simple and efficient process for synthesis of AcHMF, an alternative of HMF.
