제목 Target-Specific Therapeutic Cell Delivery Systems Using Hyaluronic Acid Derivatives
초록 Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a biodegradable, biocompatible, non-immunogenic, ubiquitous, and linear polysaccharide. There are many kinds of HA receptors in the body, which have been exploited as target sites for HA-based drug delivery systems. In this work, therapeutic cells were surface-modified using HA derivatives for the treatment of liver diseases. Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) was conjugated to HA by coupling reaction between aldehyde modified HA and the N-terminal amine group of WGA. The prepared HA-WGA conjugate could effectively incorporated to the cellular membrane. The successful surface modification of therapeutic cells with HA derivatives was confirmed by GPC and confocal microscopy. In vivo real-time IVIS® imaging visualized the target specific delivery of HA-WGA/therapeutic cell complex systems to the liver after intravenous injection. We will present the details on the therapeutic effect of the target-specific cell delivery systems.
