Electrolytes are responsible for energy storage and the electrodes function in Li-ion battery(LIBs). The combination of electrolyte materials largely contributes to characterizing LIBs in terms of their specific power, life time and performance according to the temperature. A small amount of electrolyte additives improves electrolyte properties, i.e., dielectric strength and electrode stability by formation of solid electrolyte interface(SEI) layer. Therefore, the selection of additives for use in liquid electrolyte formulations is crucial part to enhance the performance of LIBs. In this work, the liquid electrolyte combination was investigated. The solid-liquid equilibria(SLE) and mixture properties such as density, viscosity and excess and deviation properties were determined and correlated with the NRTL and UNIQUAC activity coefficient model and also using the Redlich-Kister equation. |
