Preparation of Celecoxib-loaded Polyoxalate Microspheres with Blending condition for Control Release |

The purpose of this study was to prepare and evaluate celecoxib-loaded microspheres from various combination ratio of two POX (polyoxalate) Mw such as 30K and 100K. Celecoxib-loaded POX microspheres were characterized for the drug load, size distribution, measurement of Mw, out/inner surface morphology and in vitro drug release. Physicochemical characters and morphology of prepared microspheres were evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Through the study results, it shows that the skin layer of the prepared microspheres is comprised of POX and celecoxib was encapsulated within the microspheres. Also, the degradation of microspheres by SEM and the drug release were obtained from in vitro test for 12 days.
