Effect of Preparation Conditions on Release Behavior of Ropinirole HCl-loaded Polyoxalate Microspheres |

Ropinirole HCl is used in the treatment of Parkinsons's disease and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS),ect. Ropinirole HCl-loaded Polyoxalate (POX) microspheres were prepared by W1/O/W2 and O/W1,2 solvent evaporation method for sustained release. This study was investigated the release behavior according to the kind of solvent and preparation conditions. Ropinirole HCl-loaded POX microspheres by W1/O/W2 and O/W1,2 , solvent evaporation method had smooth surfaces. The microsphere was characterized on the surface, the cross-section morphology and the behavior of Ropinirole HCl release for 15 days by SEM and HPLC. The analysis of crystallization was analyzed to use XRD, DSC and FT-IR. In this study, the results showed that the release behaviors can be controlled by various of preparation conditions.
