Light-dependent resistors (LDRs) have been widely used for various applications such as smartphones, automatic light lamp sensors, etc. The benefit of LDRs includes a simple device structure based on the same kind of electrodes. Conventional LDRs have been fabricated with inorganic materials with hard and rigid characteristics, which additionally require high-temperature processes. Considering recent paradigm shift toward flexible electronics, such rigid type LDRs with inorganic materials cannot be used for high-end flexible electronic systems. On this account, organic LDRs (OLDRs) can be one of the best candidates when it comes to the flexible properties of organic materials. In this presentation, we demonstrate near infrared (NIR) light-sensing OLDRs, which are fabricated with conjugated polymer films, and discuss the light-sensing performances according to various fabrication conditions of films and devices. |
