제목 Transdermal delivery of soluble proteins via functional nano-carrier with flexibility and small size
초록 Generally, it is regarded that hydrophilic macromolecules such as proteins, peptides, and vaccines have been limited to penetrate across skin. In this study, we applied chitosan-conjugated, Pluronic-based nano-carriers as an efficient delivery vehicle of hydrophilic proteins across human skin. The in-vitro permeation experiments through human cadaver skin revealed enhanced permeability of hydrophilic proteins such as FITC-BSA and FITC-Insulin by direct penetration of the nano-carrier across skin. In addition, the bioactivity post-permeation of proteins via the functional nano-carrier was also confirmed by delivering ß-galactosidase, and maintained well.
