제목 | Multiomics approaches for the investigation of Clostridioides difficile inhibition mechanism by Bifidobacterium species |
초록 | Recently, the development of a newalternative treatment is required due to difficulty in treatment of Clostridioidesdifficile infection (CDI) and high recurrence rate. Althoughnew approaches using probiotic therapy have been reported for CDI treatment andprevention, the inhibition mechanisms of C.difficile by probiotics are unclear at the molecular level. In this study, five Bifidobacterium species were evaluatedthe C. difficile growth inhibitoryeffects. Then, the responses of C.difficile caused by B. longum were observed using proteomic andmetabolomic analysis. The multiomics data showed that proteins involved inproline-dependent regulation, protein synthesis, etc. were significantlychanged. In conclusion, we can observe metabolic changes involved in growth inhibition and toxin reduction effect ofprobiotics on C. difficile. |
