Synthesis of α-azido-ω-thio-bifunctionalized poly(ethylene oxide) andits application for preparation of nano-sized gold particles |
초록 |
An alkoxide having sodium or potassium counterion is well known to initiate ethylene oxide leading to living polymerization in polar solvent. In this study, 3-AzPOH could be readily synthesized by the reaction of 3-chloropropanol with NaN3 at 80℃. The yield was over 95 mol%. It was converted to the corresponding sodium alkoxide in THF using Na metal under high vacuum, followed by polymerization of ethylene oxide at room temperature in the mixture of benzene and dmso for 48h. After complete polymerization, purified propylene sulfide was delivered into the reactor under high vacuum. The colloidal gold nanoparticles have been well known to be readily stabilized by mercaptan. Practically, to get surface azido-funtionalized gold nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles were prepared by using the PEO-based bifunctionalized polymer bearing the chain-end -SH group with HAuCl4 in water at 60℃, followed by reduction using NaBH4. In this presentation, the preliminary results will be reported. |
