제목 Iron nanoparticle in carbon shell (Fe2O3) fabricated one-pot hydrothermal synthesis with glucose for high level electrochemical perfomance for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)
초록 Iron oxide nanocrystals embedded hole-rich carbon shell(Fe2O3@C) for efficient electro catalyst have been fabricated by simple hydrothermal synthesis using iron nitrate and glucose followed by annealing at elevated temperature in a tube furnace under nitrogen gas flow, converted Fe2O3@C to nitrogen doped porous carbon encapsulated iron nanoparticle (Fe2O3@NC). The morphorogy of carbon encapsulated iron nanoparticles is confirmed by FE-SEM and TEM. X-ray diffraction and Raman analysis are conducted to confirm the presence carbon in the iron nanoparticles and the formation of carbon shell around iron oxide crystal. The ORR activities of Fe2O3@NC nanospheres are investigated using a rotating disk electrode. Fe2O3@NC nanospheres show better electrochemical performance than noble catalysts such as Pt/C. In addition, the Fe2O3@NCs exhibited high long-term durability and resistance to methanol
