We have synthesized a novel polymer, via Suzuki coupling polymerization. The newly designed copolymer is expected to have good mopology and charge carrier mobility. Furthermore, long alkyl groups on the naphthalene increase the π-π stacking characteristics through easy interdigitation and can increase the solubility in the common organic solvents such as chloroform, dichlorobenzene, toluene, and THF. The synthesized copolymer was characterized by 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The thermal properties were determined by thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Electrochemical and optical properties of copolymer were studied by UV-visible and cyclic voltammeter (CV) in solution and film. |
