Effective Direct Writing of 3D Polymer Micromeshes by Two-Photon Lithography with Continuous Out-of-Plane Longitudinal Scanning |

Heirarchical 3D structures play an important role in microelectronics, photonics and biotechnology. Studies into application of functional microstructures require routine fast fabrication of microstructures. Nano-stereolithography, also known as two-photon direct writing (TPDW) is widely used for fabrication of the three-dimensional microstructure with submicron resolution. Conventional TPDW uses a point to point scanning method to construct complex microstructures. Herein we demonstrate the use of a longitudinal scanning method to construct vertical pillars and walls in hexaheadral structures. This approach speeds up the fabrication process at least an order of magnitude. This work explores the time economy and fabrication effectiveness of the longitudinal scan method and proposes a fabrication window to determine the fabrication parameter easily according to laser power and structural design. |
