Facile and scalable synthesis of TiO2-graphitized carbon (TiO2-gC) composite through the hydrothermal process and its application for the anode of lithium ion battery |
초록 |
TiO2 has been considered for novel electrode materials in next-generation LIBs due to advantages such as fast Li insertion at low voltage and low volume variation during the charge/discharge. However, TiO2 is limited by low electronic conductivity and retarded Li ion diffusivity. In order to overcome these disadvantages, we synthesize mesostructured TiO2-graphitic carbon (TiO2-gC) composite through a simple and scalable one-step hydrothermal method. In electrochemical tests, the TiO2-gC composite electrode exhibited a high initial charge/ discharge capacity, and discharge capacity remains higer than that of TiO2. This advanced performance could be ascribed to improved transport pathways and structural stability from the graphitic carbon frameworks. |
