Preparation of Expanded graphite-ceramic core-shell hybrid and its thermal & electrical properties in polymer composite |
초록 |
The generation of waste heat is a significant problem in that it reduces the life spans of devices such as computers and cellular phones. Therefore, there is a large demand for improved means of efficient heat dissipation. Thermally conductive polymer composites offer new possibilities for replacing metal parts in electric systems. Ceramic coated on expanded graphite(EG) hybrid particles were prepared. Ceramic consists of BN and SiO2, it was prepared by dispersion of BN in the SiO2 sol prepared by the sol-gel method. The structures of the EG-ceramic(ceramic/EG) core-shell hybrid was evaluated with SEM and XPS. Furthermore, the thermal conductivity of the ceramic/EG-BN-epoxy composites was investigated and the electrical properties were studied through surface resistance and breakdown strength. |
