제목 SYNTHESIS OF PH-RESPONSIVE HYDROTROPIC POLYMER MICELLE FOR SOLUBILIZATION OF PACLITAXEL
초록 Many drugs have serious problems such as limit of bioavailability and formulation of drugs for their low water solubility. To enhance the water solubility of hydrophobic drugs, many approaches have been conducted. Polymeric micelle systems have been developed as a promising formulation for hydrophobic drugs. But, the low stability with increasing of drug loading and usage of indispensable organic solvent are still remained problem. Hydrotropic agents are often used to enhance the water-solubility of poorly water-soluble compounds and found to be more effective in their polymeric structures. In this study, a pH-responsive hydrotropic polymer micelle that consists of hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) and hydrotropic polymer block, poly(2-(4-vinylbenzyloxy)-N-picolylnicotinamide) was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. The polymer micelle was characterized by 1H-NMR, TEM and light scattering measurements, and their solubilizing capacity for paclitaxel was evaluated.
