Multifunctional Nanoparticles Based on Hydrotropic Block Copolymer for Cancer Therapy and Imaging |
초록 |
Hydrotropic block copolymer was investigated as the potential carrier of the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) agent and anticancer drug, paclitaxel (PTX). The results showed that PTX and oleic acid-coated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles(OA-SPIONs) were successfully loaded into the hydrotropic polymer micelle. The encapsulated PTX was released from the micelles in a sustained manner. From in vivo study, it was evident that PTX- and OA-SPION-loaded hydrotropic polymer micelle were selectively accumulated into the tumor site after systemic administration. As a consequence, hydrotropic polymer micelle might have a potential as multifunctional nanoparticles for cancer imaging and therapy. |
