제목 | Evaluation of forward osmosis performance of thermo-responsive hydrogel with deep eutectic monomer |
초록 | Herein, a deep eutectic monomer (DEM) was copolymerized with N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) to form a thermo-responsive hydrogel as draw agent for forward osmosis (FO). Characterization and performance evaluation reveal an increase in swelling ratio and FO water flux of P(NIPAM-co-DEM) as compared with pure PNIPAM hydrogel. Hydrogel regeneration was done via drying at 45°C in vacuo. This study demonstrates the potential of DEMs in improving FO performance of thermo-responsive hydrogel.
