제목 Surface modifications of natural graphite via a self-crystalization of metal oxides for fast-chargeable lithium-ion batteries
초록  

  Responding to a rapidly growing market for electric vehicles (EVs), it is crucial to improve a fast-charging capability of lithium ion batteries (LIBs) for reducing the charging time. Herein, we propose surface modifications of natural graphite (NG) with functional metal oxides such as MoO3 and Fe3O4 via a self-crystallization process. Based on various structural and electrochemical analyses, the functionality of metal oxides is thoroughly investigated for enhancing the fast-charging capability and cycling performance of NG. We demonstrate that metal oxides play critical roles for stabilizing the surface of NG and facilitating fast Li+ migration at the interface between NG and electrolyte. The surface modifications with functional metal oxides would be a practical way for improving the fast–chargeability of NG, by extension, realizing a fast-charging LIBs.
