제목 Fabrication of Poly(Urea-Formaldehyde) MicrocapsulesContaining PDMS/Pt for Use in Self-Healing Materials
초록 This study presents the microencapsulation of poly (dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) or Platinum (Pt) catalyst for use in self-healing materials via in-situ polymerization of poly(urea-formaldehyde). Self-healing microcapsules containing materials possess superior healing efficiency in response to damage in host material. When the physical damage is given to host material and microcapsules are broken, PDMS and Pt catalyst can meet and Pt-catalyzed hydrosilylation of PDMS proceed, so the self-healing process starts. In our previous work, microcapsules were broken during the powderization process because of low stability of microcapsules. For this reason, microcapsules had to be mixed with polyurethane(PU) resin in a solution state, so the PU resin reacted to water and bubbles were formed. In this study, the stability of microcapsules could successfully strengthen during powderization process by controlling the size of microcapsules and/or post-addition of shell components.
