Preparation and properties of interpenetrating waterborne polyurethane/self-crosslinkable fluorinated polyacrylate copolymer hybrid emulsion using a solvent-/emulsifier-free method |

A series of interpenetrating waterborne polyurethane(WBPU)/fluorinated self-crosslinkable polyacrylate copolymer hybrid emulsions were prepared by solvent-/emulsifier-free prepolymer mixing process. This study focused on the effect of BA (15-0wt%)/VTES(0-15wt%) weight ratio on the properties of interpenetrated WBPU/self-crosslinked fluorinated polyacrylate copolymer hybrids for antifouling coating materials. The gradient concentration of fluorine in the film structures from the film-air surface to the film-dish interface was characterized by energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).
