제목 Preparation and Properties of UV crosslinkable Urethane link Polysiloxane
초록 Polysiloxanes are a class of specialty polymers that have unique properties that results from its origins at the frontier of inorganic and organic polymer. Although polysiloxanes are known by their high chemical and thermal stability, flexibility and non-toxicity, they have a few disadvantages which include low resistance to steam and low tensile strength. On the other hand polyurethane (PU) is less thermal and chemical stability, but has excellent physical-mechanical characteristics. In this study, UV crosslinkable urethane link polydimethylsiloxane (U-PDMS) was synthesized by incorporating vinyl groups into the side chain of the PU using vinyl modified PDMS oil. The thermal and mechanical properties of the synthesized UV crosslinkable U-PDMS were investigated. The effect of UV irradiation time and photoinitiator concentration on mechanical properties was also studied.
