제목 Development of fuel cell system using composite membranes with high performance
초록 Nafion is commercially used polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) due to its good properties. However, there are still some problems, such as CO poisoning, water management system, high system price, because of its relatively low operation temperature (below 100℃). In order to solve these problems, PEMFC which can be operated at temperature above 150℃ have been studied and polybenzimidazole (PBI) has regarded one of the candidate for HT-PEMFC. In this work, inorganic material was introduced in PBI and composite membranes were synthesized to enhance the performance of the membranes. All the performances showed that the composite membrane has enhanced values compared to those of pure PBI membrane, because the composite membranes could hold more phosphoric acid due to the inorganic material.
