The Effects of Flame Retardants on Mechanical Property and Thermal Property of Electron Beam Irradiated HDPE/EPDM Blend |

This study aims to evaluate the effects of flame retardants in electron beam (EB) irradiated HDPE/EPDM blends. Generally, the flammability is known to be needed in order to be applied in various fields. The experiments were carried out in order to compare with the effects of phosphated flame retardants, such as triphenyl phosphate (TPP) and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP) in irradiated HDPE/EPDM blends. The thermal and mechanical properties were characterized by TGA, DSC and UTM, respectively. The flammability was measured by limiting oxygen index (LOI) test according to ISO 4589-2. |
