제목 | Effects of Structural Isomerism of Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquid (BMIM TFSI) on Ionic Conductivity |
초록 | Ionic liquids (ILs) are recently gaining much attention, because of their unique properties such as the negligible vapor pressure, low flammability, high ionic conductivity, and electrochemical stability. ILs are especially attractive as electrolytes for various electrochemical devices. However, only limited information has been known about the relationship between the structure of IL and its electrochemical properties. In this study, four different cations (1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium[alkyl = normal butyl, 1-methyl propyl, 2-methyl propyl, and tertiary butyl]) were synthesized and their structures were confirmed by NMR and UPLC/MS. The self-diffusion coefficients of ionic liquids are measured by PGSE NMR, and their electrochemical results were considered using DMol3 program. As a result, it was investigated that 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium TFSI has the highest self-diffusion coefficient because of its conformational flexibility. |
