In the midst of COVID-19, the molecular diagnostic technology plays a major role to prevent the spreading of COVID-19. The conventional genetic analysis process requires a prolonged reaction time, a series of analytical steps, bulky and expensive instrumentations, lacking of the point-of-care DNA testing. In this talk, I will introduce two types of the portable genetic analyzer : a fully integrated centrifugal microsystem as well as a smartphone-based molecular diagnostics for point-of-care testing to identify COVID-19. |
