The electrodeposited nickel inverse opal electrode was utilized for template of cathode for lithium-sulfur batteries. As the inverse opal electrode provides a porous morphology, it could be highly conductive and robust toward electrochemical cycling. The nickel inverse opal structure fabricated by electrodeposition method. To obtain inverse opal structure, several parameters were optimized; applying current density, total cycles and on/off time. Nickel inverse opal structure on nickel substrate was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The nickel inverse opal electrode could use the template of cathode to infuse sulfur. |
