제목 Identification and characterization of glycosyltransferase gene from neomycin biosynthetic gene cluster and production of hybrid antibiotics
초록 Neomycin produced by S. fradiae is among the clinically important 2-deoxy -streptamine containing aminoglycoside antibiotics. The homology search with data base indicated that neo8 was glycosyltransferase in the neomycin (Nem) biosynthetic gene cluster. In the present study, we constructed disruption mutant of neo8, mutant that did not synthesize neomycin. But the complementation of mutant by neo8 experiments restored the neomycin production which proved that neo8 act as glycosyltransferase in neomycin gene cluster. Here, we also report the trans-complementation by rbmD from ribostamycin gene cluster and the production of hybrid antibiotic. Further production analysis is yet to be confirmed.
