According to the great attention for the flexible device such as wearabledevices, lightweight and flexible batteries are regarded as the next-generationenergy storage devices. Among them, LIB has excellent advantages forhigh-performance flexible batteries due to its high energy density and longcycle life. However, there are some issues with the development of flexibleLIB. Some of the flexible substrates of polymer are insulator and has very lowelectrical conductivity. In the case of commercial metal current collectorswith high electrical conductivity, it has a high mass density, which causes adecrease in the energy density. Herein, we reported the lightweight and flexiblehigh-performance LIB via the exfoliation method of graphite paper by apoly(imide)(PI) tape. We intended high electrical conductivity of graphite andflexibility of PI film as a current collector. We also utilized the simple andcost-efficient tape-induced exfoliation method. |
