제목 Novel iodine doped nanodots with superior safety and contrast effects
초록 Since diagnostic imaging tools have accurate and efficiently diagnostic properties, it has been widely used during the last decades. Amongst the tools, Computed tomography (CT) is considered as the most efficient way since their three-dimensional images-producible property with reasonable price in short time. However, conventional CT contrast agents have contrast, safety, and elimination issues. To solve the limitations, we manufactured the Iodine doped carbonized nanodot (IDCN) with hydroxyl containing and iodine-based molecules with hydrothermal synthesis. Through the synthesis, IDCN contain higher iodine contents, non-toxic properties in various cell lines via MTT assay and equal osmolarity compare with blood plasma. In vitro and In vivo CT imaging test, IDCN proved their exclusive CT contrast effects and eliminated from the body within hours.
As a result, IDCN verified the clinical possibilities that is able to be CT contrast agents with superior safety and contrast effects.
