Functional Niacinamide imprinted starch based biomaterials for treatment of hyperpigmentation |
초록 |
The aims of this study were to prepared functional biomaterials for application to the treatment of hyperpigmentation using niacinamide (NA), mungbean starch (MS), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and plasticizers (glycerol (GL) and citric acid (CA)). The functional biomaterials were characterized and evaluated for FE-SEM and FT-IR, and physical properties. The NA release properties indicated that NA was released rapidly until the initial 10 min and that NA release in low pH was slightly faster than in high pH. The result of NA release using artificial skin confirmed that 100% of NA was released for 3 h. To verify the functionality of the prepared biomaterials, tyrosinase inhibitory and DPPH assay were further performed. These results indicated that NA imprinted biomaterials with the addition of CA exhibited 52% of tyrosinase inhibition and 73% of free radical scavenging activity rate. Additionally, the inhibition of melanin synthesis in B16F10 cells was evaluated. |
