Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) is a promising ecofriendly propellant because of its high oxygen balance and high energy content. ADN degrades to ammonium nitrate under ambient condition, and aging reduced the performance of ADN. For the application of propellant, the purity of ADN should be determined and controlled readily but only ion chromatographic determination method is available. Therefore, the accurate method is required for the determination of the purity of ADN. In this work, the various methods, XRD, IR, UV-VIS, ion chromatographic analysis have been applied to investigate the composition of ADN under ambient condition. |
