Nitrogen doped porous carbon coated on graphite felt as an Electrocatalyst for the all vanadium redox flow battery |
초록 |
All-vanadium redox flow battery is the promising grid energy storage system. The redox reaction determines the reaction kinetics of both electrode. On the electrode part, most widely used are graphite-based materials for redox flow batteries. However, it has low electrochemical activity, poor kinetic reversibility, and a small amount of surface defects. Therefore we study that to facilitate the slow reaction materials, nitrogen doped porous carbon coated on graphite felt were synthesized. The effect of nitrogen doping and high porosity on the electrochemical performance of prepared electrodes for a VRFB was investigated. Cyclic voltammetry test and single cell results showed that prepared pours N-GF electrodes exhibited the highest electrocatalytic activities for VO 2+ /VO 2 + couples compare to commercial graphite felt. |
